This Antique 19th Century Anglo-Indian Box (Age:1850-1899) is constructed from a real solid very expensive white material and sandalwood. The top, the sides, the front and the back are extravagantly decorated with inlayed pattern. (Please see the photos). The lid has very good butt fit to the box. The lid is attached to the main box with two brass hinges. Lock with key fully functional.
The outside of the case measures approximately 31cm (12.5'') x 18.5cm (7.25'') x cm (''). The box weighs approximately 2200 grams very heavy.
This box is in a very good condition considering the age (1860-1899). It is very rare to find this type of box in this condition. It is a collectable item. A must for a collector who knows very expensive material used to make this box as an investment.
